DCBA Spring Hoops Sign up!

The Durham City Basketball House League is preparing for their Spring session beginning March 25th. The program includes 10 sessions and is open to boys and girls aged 4-16. We place a large emphasis on FUN, while learning the basic skills of basketball. Our coaches will work on developing the participant's skill through individual and team drills each week. Players will have an opportunity to apply what they have learned during league play. All players will receive a t-shirt and awards at the conclusion of the program. Registration will be at Pickering H.S. (180 Church St N) March 4th from 2pm - 4pm. Final registration date will be March 21st at Ajax Community Centre (75 Centennial Rd) from 7pm - 9pm. The cost of the program is $125.

The Durham City Basketball Association is a non-profit organization designed to EMPOWER the sport of basketball & ENHANCE opportunities for youth playing basketball within the Durham Region. The object is to learn the basic skills of basketball through the values of respect and integrity. Our goal is to create a positive environment in which promoting fair play and building self-esteem is a priorxzity. It is our goal to EMPOWER and ENHANCE basketball within the Durham Region.

To accomplish this goal, We must provide competitive experiences that are consistent with the mission of DCBA. OBA and AAU competition provides students with the opportunity to test themselves against the best in their sport. Through participation in training and competitive activities, We hope to teach several values: sense of good sportsmanship, continuous learning, group loyalty, teamwork, appreciation for the spirit of hard work and sacrifice, motivation, voluntarism, human development and the development of personal character while maintaining a safe environment that values cultural diversity. We will regularly post basketball news from the Durham Region and extend an invitation for local clubs, schools, parents to submit their news and we will promptly post the information on our website.
